This wonderful, old mountain range is located in the eastern part of the Appalachian Mountains which stretch from Pennsylvania to Georgia.

You will find the highest point in Virginia in these mountains – Mount Rogers, almost 6000 feet in elevation. When you see these mountains from a distance they actually look blue, thus their name.

With the high rain fall much of the region is covered in forests of hardwoods – home to all that nature offers. Deer, birds, flying squirrels, bats and bear with wild flowers, native plants and trees everywhere you look. Streams, creeks and ponds abound. The extraordinary history, beauty and hospitality of the area make these mountains a sought after getaway spot.
