Sold in Soapstone Ridge – a spacious, well built, two bedroom, two bath logsided cabin (description below). Just let us know and we’ll help you build one that’s perfect for you too.
It features a tin roof; tiled master and guest bath; pine floors, doors and cabinets throughout the cabin. A fabulous wrap around porch for those quiet evenings in the mountains. A spacious great room with wood burning fireplace and views of the woods from all the windows.
A great bonus with this cabin is the 1000 square foot unfinished basement for storage or whatever you might need.
Common land comes with this subdivision – about nine acres total for all the owners in Soapstone Ridge to enjoy. That means you can go out for a quiet walk, down by the creek, before dinner without even getting in your car.
Check out the deer, turkey and birds and be home in 30 minutes for dinner.
Plat of subdivision and common land available upon request.
This cabin has been carefully situated on 1.3 acres of forested land so that you have mature trees close by.
In the cooler months, you have that warm afternoon sun coming in the windows to assist in the heating of the cabin for those cool mountain evenings.
This cabin is low maintenance, good for year round living (it even has central heat and air) or is perfect as a getawaycabin close to everything essential and only a few hours from major cities making it easy to drive to the mountains for the weekend and be back at work bright and early on Monday morning refreshed.
You, whether living here permanently or coming occasionally for a getaway, will find the friendliest people in the world in these mountains.

Pathway through the common |
Common Land at Soapstone - |
A lovely pathway winds through the 9 plus acres of Common Land at Soapstone Ridge. Slightly sloping hills and valleys as you hike through the woods make for good exercise.
On one side you will see a small stream as you hike along and on the other side there is an actual Indian quarry where hundreds of years ago Indians made pottery and utensils out of the abundant Soapstone found on the property. Great for exploration and adventure. Soapstone is very soft and is wonderful for carving and even more useful today in heating.

Pathway on the Common Land |
Common Land at Soapstone Ridge |
As you wind around the pathway you will come to an area that is more open and lends itself to picknicing and relaxing, maybe even some gardening. Sit very still up against a log and watch for birds, deer, turkey, rabbits and even flying squirrels, as well as other life in this mountain wildlife habitat.
